REGISTRATION FORM

Dear Fellow Worshipers,

The Europe Worship Link  will be holding its third consultation 18-21 April 2007 in Malenovice, Czech Republic. The EWL serves as a forum for key leaders in worship-related ministries in their nations.

The goals and values of the EWL are reflected in the agenda for Conference 2007, which will include:

1. Worship and prayer
 
2. Studies on biblical worship

3. Opportunities to share one’s own ministry

4. Sharing of information on activities and opportunities across Europe

5. Focused discussions on:

a. The situation in Europe as a whole and in our countries
b. Ways to foster communication, encouragement and cooperation among us
c. The need for printed materials and other resources on worship for the Church in Europe
d. The possibility of hosting or supporting events
e. Developing national worship networks

6. Informal times for fellowship and sharing

7. Sharing of musical and other cultural gifts from our countries

Conference Details

The conference will be held at the Hotel Malenovice in the mountains of northern Moravia (see www.kam.cz and phot oon left). The cost for the gathering will be 75 Euros (covering housing and meals for the entire time), with scholarships available for those who would otherwise not be able to afford to attend. (Built into the fee is a subsidy for those scholarships.) Each person will need to cover his/her own transportation costs. You may travel by air or ground to Ostrava, and pickup will be arranged from there. (Czech and Austrian Airlines fly into Ostrava, and there is train service from Prague.)

For practical reasons, the language of the event will be English, though at previous conferences there have been some who have attended with another who could translate for them.

Again, our goal is not to get as big as possible, but rather to bring in key individuals who can be influencers in their own nations. You are receiving this communication because you have been recommended to us as someone in such a position, and so we would like to extend a warm invitation for you to be part of Conference 2007. More about the Europe Worship Link

The Europe Worship Link (EWL) is one of 28 special-focus networks which make up the Hope for Europe movement. As a "network of networks," Hope for Europe exists to strengthen the Church in Europe by the development of pan-European networks for the purpose of joint prayer and mutual cooperation in each network’s sphere of involvement and influence. As such the networks seek to serve and resource national Evangelical Alliances as well as individual churches and other ministries. (For more information, please see www.hfe.org.)

Hope for Europe, as well as the EWL, was birthed at Hope 21, a major convocation of European evangelicals which was held in Budapest in the spring of 2002. Since then the EWL has held its own conference in Poland in April 2005, with 23 attending from 11 different countries; the conference in Malenovice will be our third gathering.

The EWL is seeking to expand its membership, not just in order to grow numerically, but rather in order to gain a better representation of the countries of Europe. We want to encourage key worship leaders to help develop national and local networks of worship leaders in order to further the goals of the EWL on a more grass-roots level.

We have found at our previous two conferences to be very rich times for becoming better informed and encouraged about what God is doing in worship across the continent. Being in a fellowship of like-minded and like hearted worship leaders has helped us to feel less alone and isolated in our own involvements. We have found ourselves gaining a renewed appreciation for both the diversity and the unity of the Body of Christ, as we explored together intriguing possibilities for supporting and resourcing one another’s ministries.

We want to honor the unique flavor of each nation’s worship life, yet look beyond our national borders to ways we can express on a trans-national and even pan-European level what it means to serve, honor and worship the one true God through Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit.
